Merging Cultures and Enhancing Economic Development

Kerala Association of Washington (KAW) is a non-profit, non-political, non-religious cultural organization.  KAW strives for betterment of the social life for Keralites in the Pacific Northwest. Malayalees come from the southernmost state of India, Kerala. Also known as "God's own country", Kerala is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Our native language is "Malayalam" and so the name "Malayalees". KAW organizes to maintain and promote the golden heritage of Kerala through our cultural events, stage shows (featuring celebrities from Kerala), sports tournaments, literary and educational activities, and charity events. KAW also serves as a forum of friendship to exchange of ideas and information for the Keralites. For a brief history of KAW, click here.

Kaffa Coffee and Wine Bar not only acts as a restaurant, but also serves to enhance and grow the Small Business culture in South Seattle.  Formed in September 2014, we are growing thanks to the many community patrons that frequent our establishment.  Kaffa Coffee provides needed stimulus for our community and the South Rainier Beach neighborhood.  Our Social Network not only promotes, but provides entertainment and news from our community and for the diverse cultures in the Rainier Beach area.  Check back frequently as we provide organic growth through our network and the community.

Kaffa Coffe and Wine Bar is introducing a partnership with the Kerala Association of Washington (KAW).  This is an ongoing promotion.  For KAW members who visit our establishment, or create orders to go, we offer 15% off your entire purchase.  The more people you feed (remember, the Ethiopian tradition is for communal eating), the more you save.  Kaffa Coffee thanks KAW for this wonderful opportunity to integrate our cultures and our communities.
